100 Outfit Ideas For Your Next Vacation

Hello Warmer Days

Warm, sunny days are finally here and I couldn’t be more excited about it. I know it’s not swimsuit weather for everyone just yet, but soon it will be time for Spring Break and Summer vacation. Last week I made a quick trip to my Charleston home for some much-needed time with some of my favorite ladies. On Thursday I hosted a fun get together in our new vacation home and then topped the weekend off by exploring the streets of the Charleston Wine and Food Festival. All the food and wine was incredible, but being able to finally bring out my Spring and Summer clothing was honestly just as good for the soul. I have missed warm days, Spring dresses, breezy outfits and open-toe sandals and heels.

What to Wear to the Beach, Resort or Pool

Whether you’re planning you next beach trip with a few girlfriends, getting ready for some much needed R&R at a resort or chasing your kiddos around at the pool, I’ve got you covered! Below you will find curated looks from brands like Amazon, Aerie, Summersalt, J. Crew Factory, Boden and so many others. Who else is looking forward to living in their swimsuit again? When it comes to long summer days spent in a swimsuit, a coverup is a must-have. There’s nothing quite like laying on the beach all morning, throwing on a breezy coverup to walk to a cute restaurant for lunch and then making your way back to the beach for some more sunshine. Of course accessories are of the upmost importance while on vacation. A large colorful beach bag, stylish & affordable sunnies, silk scrunchies (I have and love these) , sunhat, a Stanley Cup to keep your drinks ice cold, bluetooth speaker for some tunes and a pair of comfy sandals are essential for a full day at the beach or pool.

What to Wear to Brunch

There is nothing quite like a slow morning and indulging in a big brunch while on vacation. Below I am sharing outfit inspiration for brunch with the girls and OOTDs for a day spent exploring your vacay town. When exploring a town, I like to be comfortable and dress as cool and lightweight as possible. Jumpsuits (LOVE his jumpsuit from Amazon) and dresses are great for days of strolling around town because you can dress with up with flats or it you really want to be comfy you can throw on a pair of sneakers instead. If you plan on shopping while you’re out and about, I recommend choosing an outfit that is easy to change in and out of like this bright, colorful and budget friendly maxi dress or even a tank and skirt combo.

When I am on vacation—especially somewhere with warmer weather—I am likely to wear dresses the entire trip. They are just so easy and you can typically dress them up with heels or wear them more casually by pairing them with sneakers. However, there are times jeans are a must. Example: Last weekend I was wearing the most perfect dress to the Charleston Wine and Food Festival and upon stepping outside for 5 seconds it almost flew over my head. No lie. I quickly ran inside to change into my favorite denim jeans. That fun little story is why I include several outfits that involve jeans. You never know when you’re going to encounter a windy day, especially if you’re in a coastal town. I am partial to white denim in the spring and summer—they just lighten up an outfit in the most beautiful way.

What to Wear Traveling Home

Travel wear must also be taken seriously. I for one want to be comfortable when traveling, especially if it means I am in the car for hours at a time for taking a long flight with multiple layovers. The right pair of sneakers is a must when traveling through an airport. I have a pair of On Cloud sneakers and absolutely love them. If you want a pair of shoes that are a little more stylish then these comfy neutral sneakers are the way to go—they get more and more comfortable with every wear. Of course leggings are a must. I have these black high-waisted leggings and love them. I don’t own buttery soft leggings yet, but recently discovered them and love all the color options and am so impressed with the reviews! If you’re going to spend a lot of time in airports or even strolling around town when on vacation, then this Lulu dupe belt bag aka fanny pack is a must! It is so practical, holds a lot and inexpensive.
