Want to know how it started? It isn’t pretty! When Mike and I moved in together in 2014 we blended our utensil sets and could have fed 20 people at any given time! Stainless steal pieces with no real rhyme or reason. Once we got married and had kids we had the addition of plastic multi-colored spoons, forks and well… a handful of sporks.
I also realized we had things stored in this drawer that needed to live in other kitchen drawers! After a quick clean up, a little kitchen spray and a good wipe down we were ready to give this little drawer some love! I am SUCH a fan of Amazon home finds. We are renovating our kitchen as soon as our custom cabinets come in and so I needed a drawer organizer that would fit in our current drawers and could expand to our new drawer size as well! We hit it big with this gorgeous expandable bamboo drawer organizer! This one is so highly rated with over 22k rave reviews and its also affordable at under $25. Not just for the kitchen this organizer is great for any drawer in your home! I will absolutely be purchasing more of these for the remaining kitchen drawers!
I have been fawning over this gold bamboo flatware for YEARS and I finally took the leap! It has a great weight to it and the 20-piece set serves 4. I went ahead and got two sets so we can serve 8. I am so pleased with the quality and design. These are appropriate for every day use and they are dishwasher safe!
I rounded out the collection with our new coordinating coffee spoons and appetizer utensils! The coffee spoons come in a set of 8 for $17 and they are much preferred over my children’s plastic spoons. The 10-piece entertaining utensils can be used for coffee but we use them for entertaining, casual appetizers at home, desserts and fruit. The leaf detail does just enough to make them unique without being too much. The set of 10 is $10.99!
